Gas prices go up today

~ Unleaded gas 35 cents more per litre since May ~
PHILIPSBURG - Just over a month after gas prices were last increased, motorists will have to pay even more to tank up as of today, Wednesday. The price of cooking gas is also being increased with effect from today.
The Executive Council recently approved the price increases.
As of today, unleaded gasoline will cost motorists 15 guilder cents more per litre, as the price will go up from NAf. 1.80 to NAf. 1.95 per litre. Prior to the May 1 increase, unleaded gas was sold at NAf. 1.60 per litre. This means that the total increase since May is 35 guilder cents per litre.
The price of a 20-pound cylinder of Liquefied Propane Gas (LPG)/cooking gas was increased from NAf. 36 to NAf. 39.60 – a NAf. 3.60 increase. Prior to May, the price was NAf. 28.81. This means that since May the price of a 20 lb cylinder of cooking gas has increased by NAf. 10.79in total.
Diesel fuel will now cost 4 guilder cents more per litre – NAf. 1.69 instead of NAf. 1.65. In May, the price was increased by 25 guilder cents per litre.
Kerosene will now cost seven guilder cents more per litre, as the price has been increased from NAf. 1.43 to NAf. 1.50 per litre. Some 18 guilder cents were added to the price in May.
A 100-pound LPG cylinder will now cost NAf. 120 instead of NAf. 110. LPG bulk will now cost NAf. 140 a pound, instead of NAf. 132 a pound, an increase of NAf. 8.
