BES islands hold talks with Dutch delegation

PHILIPSBURG/Willemstad - A delegation from the BES islands is currently in Curacao for talks with the State Secretary responsible for Kingdom Relations in the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba, Ank Bijleveld-Schouten.

On Tuesday the delegation held talks with the Dutch Minister in charge of Social Affairs, Pete Donner.

Forming part of the Statian delegation is the leader of the opposition PLP on that island, Councilman Clyde van Putten.

During the meeting with State Secretary Bijleveld the division of tasks for the various islands was also discussed.

He also stated that Social developments particularly for his island was high on the agenda during the talks with Minister of Social Affairs, Pete Donner.

At the conclusion of Tuesdays talks, a press conference was held. The entire press conference which was provided by Gromyko Wilson, can now be heard via PodCast.
