Hundreads show up for BTA registration Tuesday

PHILIPSBURG - The registration process for the Brooks Tower agreement began at 4 p.m on Tuesday.
Tiara Haselhoef Sint Jago (left) of police affairs stated on Tuesday morning that special arrangements have been put in place, to guide the applicants through the process.
She stated that information can be obtained from the internet and other public areas such as the Post Office.
Persons are being advised to have the application forms filled out prior to coming to the office. Applicants that do not have their forms filled out, will not be handled by the personnel.
The registration process closed off at 10pm Tuesday night however during the day, a large crowd showed up to have the registration forms submitted.
There were well over three hundred people that waited in the line setup by security personnel of Check Mate Security.
Head of Check Mate Security Micheal kuperie (photo below) stated that he was satisfied with how they have been able to handle the human traffic on Tuesday afternoon.
The intake process is expected to be completed on the 15th of December during which over 15,000 applicants are expected to be handled, while the entire process will end at the end of February 2010.
What are the application requirements?
Category I
The application requirements for a non-registered person(s) Category I are:
The main applicant must submit the application in person(s) for him/herself and (if applicable) for his/her family members.
In case the non-registered person(s) is married or is living together with a Dutch national, both need to be present at submission.
It is advisable to take along as many original documents as possible and copies which can be submitted. Upon submission, the official will verify the original documents and return them to you.
The applicant must submit the Application Form BT at the latest by 15 December 2009.
Category II
The application requirements for a non-registered person(s) Category II are:
The employer together with the non-registered person(s) submits the application.
In case the non-registered person(s) is married or is living together with a Dutch national, both need to be present at submission.
It is advisable to take along as many original documents as possible and copies which can be submitted. Upon submission, the official will verify the original documents and return them to you.
The applicant must submit the Application Form BT at the latest by 15 December 2009.
Category III - Dependent family member with Main Applicant in Category I
The main applicant of Category I must submit the application in person and for him and his family members.
In case the applicant is married or is living together with a Dutch national, both need to be present at submission.
Make sure that you take along as many original documents as possible and copies which can be submitted. Upon submission, the official will verify the original documents and return them to you.
