Parliament to discuss youth violence at school Tuesday

PHILIPSBURG - At 9am Tuesday, the parliament of the Netherlands Antilles will meet in public session to deal with an issue that’s not only affecting the Island of Curacao but also the island of St. Maarten.

They will be meeting with the "Voice of the Youth Foundation" to discuss the problem of aggressive behavior among school going young people.

According to the President of the Parliament Pedro Atacho, this meeting forms part of a cycle of meetings that has been requested by the PAR party of Curacao.

The Parliament in Central Committee, will also discuss the issue of Global Warming. Minister Maurice Adriaens will be at the disposal of Parliament on Tuesday.

The Parliament will also discuss a tax reduction on fruits and vegetables and an increase on fatty foods.
