ST. THOMAS, U.S.V.I. – Innovative Telephone engineers and construction and installation management personnel have completed comprehensive training on the Calix ultra-broadband loop carrier systems, it was announced by David Sharp, Innovative’s president and CEO.
Deployment of the Calix systems began earlier this year on St. John, where five new systems will be activated within the next several months. These systems are designed to deliver extremely high speed, or ultra-broadband access to the Internet for residential customers. Business customers also will benefit from Innovative’s investment in the development of high-speed service.
Training was performed by Calix of Petaluma, Calif., a leading supplier of telecommunications solutions designed to simplify all aspects of voice, data, and video service delivery to business and residential subscribers.
“Our people need to have and are provided with the tools and training necessary to deliver quality customer service,” said Sharp, who has been a strong advocate of training throughout his career. “This is an exciting time in our history with the consolidation of services, the company’s recent move to the St. Thomas Tutu Park Mall and the engineering and provision of state-of-the-art upgrades that will out distance Innovative Telephone from all other regional carriers.”
