Impulsan caribeños integración con nuevo ferry regional

ST GEORGE'S. Grenada (PL) - Un nuevo servicio de ferry regional se convierte hoy en otro mecanismo para impulsar la integración caribeña, principal meta de los estados del área.
Según indicaron autoridades portuarias de Granada, donde radicará la base, las operaciones comenzarán a partir del venidero 20 de octubre y cubrirán rutas diarias hacia Trinidad y Tobago y Barbados.
Otro ferry, que debió comenzar a operar en julio pasado, pero fue postergado para inaugurarse junto al granadino, trasladará personas desde San Vicente y las Granadinas hasta Santa Lucía y Barbados.
Se espera que una vez iniciadas las operaciones, en corto tiempo se extiendan hacia otros puntos caribeños.
El nuevo servicio facilita, de forma rápida, eficaz y económica, el movimiento de personal entre esos países del este caribeño, al tiempo que fomenta el intercambio y la unidad zonal.
