SHANGHAI, China (PL) - The tourism campaign Authentic Cuba was presented Thursday in this city, as part of a program exhibiting the Cuban tourist offers for the Chinese people.

The new promotional proposal was shown to about 40 tourism agencies in the Chinese province, as well as businesspeople and journalists related to the sector.

Details of the new offer, aimed at exhibiting Cuba's most authentic elements, were made known at Hotel Gran Melia Shanghai, with the attendance of Cuba's general consul in Shanghai Isabel Perez, and Luis Miguel Diaz, president of Cubanacan Hotel Group.

Elizabeth Vela, director of the Cuban Promotion Office, explained that the initiative is intended to promote cities where colonial and modern features converge, a variety of natural panoramas, excellent beaches and coral reefs, panoramic sea bottoms, syncretic culture, and charismatic, hospitable people.
