Raul Castro Meets European Commissioner

HAVANA (PL) - Cuban President Raul Castro welcomed here the European Commissioner for Development and Humanitarian Aid, Karel de Gucht, to discuss cooperation.

During the conversation, the Cuban TV reported today, both parties ratified their interest to continue pushing ahead the cooperative links between the European Commission and Cuba.

They also expressed their intention to build a bilateral framework for expanding their relations based on the principle of non interference in domestic affairs and the respect for sovereignty of the states.

Attending the meeting were the Cuban Minister of Foreign Relations, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, and the Charge dÂ�Affaires of the European Commission in Cuba, Javier Niño.
