House of Representatives to Meet Next Week

- New Session Begins on November 23 -
ST. JOHN'S, Antigua - The House of Representatives will meet on Monday 9th , November for what is expected to be the final sitting in the First Session of Parliament of the United Progressive Party Administration Second Term in Office.
Five Bills are down for second and third readings namely the Money Laundering Prevention Amendment Act, the Engineers Amendment Act, the Vendors Amendment Act, the Education Amendment Act and the Revenue Miscellaneous Provisions Act.
Also on the Order Paper are the Presentation of the 2007 Antigua and Barbuda Police Service Commission Annual Report and the First Reading of the Revenue Miscellaneous Provisions Act, 2009.
Following this sitting, Both Houses of Parliament will reconvene on November 23rd for the Reading of the 2010 Speech from the Throne by Governor General Dame Louise Lake-Tack to be followed by the Budget Statement on November 30. Debate on 2010 Budget Statement will commence on December 7th, 2009.
