PM Spencer in Bolivia for the VII Summit of ALBA

COCHABAMBA, Bolivia - Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda the Hon. W. Baldwin Spencer is today in Bolivia attending the Seventh Summit of the Heads of State and Heads of Government, Social Movements and Native Indigenous Peoples of ALBA under the theme "The Awakening of the Peoples."

During the two-day meeting, Prime Minister Spencer along with Mr. Trevor Vigo of the Antigua and Barbuda Chamber of Commerce and Ms. Natasha Mussington of the Antigua and Barbuda Trade Union Congress will attend the First Summit of Social Movement.

Following the Summit of Social Movement, Prime Minister Spencer along with Attorney General the Hon. Justin Simon will attend the Plenary Sessions of the Seventh ALBA Summit where issues such as a proposal for the creation of an Assessment Centre for Investments, a Trade Treaty and a proposal for a Constitution of a Human Rights Committee of ALBA will be discussed.

Prime Minister Spencer returns to Antigua and Barbuda over the Weekend.

Finance and Economy Minister the Hon. Harold Lovell is currently the Acting Prime Minister.
