ST JOHN'S, Antigua - The second programme in a new television series will be aired at 8:30 this evening on ABS TV. The series, 'Eye On The Nest', will explore financial and other issues related to the Government's National Economic and Social Transformation or NEST plan. It is a production of the Ministry of Finance, the Economy and Public Administration.
On last week's programme host J Valerie Hodge spoke with Everett Christian, a career banker recently appointed to the position of Revenue Consultant with the Ministry of Finance. Mr. Christian's mandate is to oversee reform of the Inland Revenue and Customs departments with a view to closing existing loopholes and maximizing collections.
This evening's guest is Lestroy Samuel, Executive Director of the Antigua and Barbuda Investment Authority. He speaks, among other things, about the Authority's plans to introduce a medical transcription programme.
Starting tomorrow and continuing weekly on Tuesdays, the Eye on the Nest series will be rebroadcast on GIS TV at 8:00p.m.
