TEDx Curaçao 2016 Speakers Announced
WILLEMSTAD -- As the line-up for TEDx Curacao 2016 grows ever fuller, the organization wants to take the opportunity to share a few of the confirmed speakers.
TEDx Curaçao is pleased to announce the first 3 speakers for TEDx Curacao 2016:
Krishna Doll–Oedjaghir is a Marketing & Sales Specialist at Curacao Air Terminal Service (CATS). She is a marketing expert with experience in sales, branding and strategic product placement and has worked with many different experts spanning from Asia to Brazil. The theme of her TEDTalk is the importance of accepting an innovation as Small Island Developing States (SIDS). She will focus on bridging the GAP between acceptance of innovation (suborbital travel) as a SIDS and the current state of the country on this matter.
Joanne Nicastia has over 15 years of experience in strategic analysis and implementation and in risk analysis and arranging project financing. Until recently she filled the position as Senior Director Transactions at the National Investment Bank in Curacao. Joanne will present her perspective on how some neglected social issues have a significant impact on the financial economic development of our country as well as a destabilizing effect on all aspects of the society.
Jemyma Betrian is a hard working Muay Thai Boxer. In the past year she was able to train for Mixed Martial arts (MMA) fights. She also fought some MMA matches in Los Angeles. Her dream is to become an Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter one day. With her inspirational speech she wants to encourage the youth of Curacao to work hard for achievement of their dreams. Jemyma is always preparing herself for bigger goals and her motto is “success comes when preparation meets opportunity!”
TEDx Curacao will be announcing the remaining speakers of TEDx Curacao 2016 over the next few weeks, so keep a close eye on the website and Facebook page. TEDx Curacao will take place on March 12, 2016 at District 1850 in collaboration with The Movies hosting a great range of talks around the theme of ‘Bridging the Gap’. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
